Course Description

The biggest design-houses of the world are relying on conscious design practices to produce in an environmentally friendly and socially equitable way. This is the backbone of fashion-for-the-future. Entrepreneur and sustainability consultant, Saachi Bahl’s company, SAAHRA, has been a pioneering and leading sustainability platform in India, and she will introduce you to:

• Concepts of ‘Sustainable’ Fashion – Defining your niche
• Learning the major environmental & human impact themes in mainstream fashion that offers a market opportunity for you to solve
• Build a material knowledge to make better or low impact material choices
• Understand circularity strategies to integrate in your company
• Gain insights on communicating ‘impact’ accurately to ethics of diversity and inclusion in fashion campaigns
• Create your own sustainable fashion business plan by the end of the course

What will the course include?

Live online session with Saachi Bahl (Twice a week)

• The sessions will be covering the areas mentioned in the course description above
• Reading material & self-review assignments provided
• 30 minutes for an interactive Q&A within each session
• Letter of completion
• 2 students from the course will get an internship opportunity to work with Saachi at SAAHRA, subject to availability/vacancy.
• We do not guarantee an internship or jobs.

Who this course is for?

This course is for anyone interested in starting a sustainable fashion business and gain a better understanding of what it entails. Degree in fashion or any other is not necessary. We are all for inclusivity and diversity people from all walks of life are welcome.

*Candidates must be above the age of 18.

Course Material

To take part in the Online sessions you will need

• An up-to-date web browser (we recommend Chrome)
• Microphone and headphones (a headset with a microphone function is recommended. The built-in microphone in your device would also be fine)
• Webcam
• Strong Internet connection
• Notepad and pen

Course Duration

This is 4 week course with 6 seminars held from 6:30pm IST to 7:30pm IST on a Monday or Thursday of the week. Please note, there are 6 seminars across 4 weeks and a calendar will be shared with you closer to time.

Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions for Online Workshops/ Course All individuals signing up for our courses or workshops are required to follow these terms and conditions, which are issued by SAAHRA Luxury Designs opc Pvt Ltd.

1. The candidate signing up for the course/ workshop is presumed to have read, agreed and accepted all terms and conditions by Saahra Luxury Designs opc Pvt Ltd.
2. The candidate hereby confirms that he/ she is 18 years of age or more on the day registering for this online course.
3. We have limited number of seats and places are only confirmed once we have received a full payment from the candidate.
4. The access to the course/ workshop via the link or any material shared will be only for the use of the individual signing up for the course. The candidate agrees to not distribute the same to others or reproduce any course material in any form or manner.
5. Saahra withholds the right to terminate or reschedule an online class, with no eligibility for a refund. If Saahra cancels any live online class, it will make it up to the candidates by offering another online live class, unless it is not possible due to an unforeseen circumstance or natural disaster. If a candidate is unable to appear for the reschedules live class, he/ she is not eligible for a refund.
6. This course is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
7. The candidate confirms that he/she has access to wifi, a computer/ tablet device with microphone, speakers and any other item necessary for an online class.
8. This course is held in English language only.
9. Candidates signing up for this course confirm they are aware that we are not affiliated with any professional college/ university or certifying body and nor do we make any such representations. We DO NOT guarantee any internships at Saahra upon signing up or completion of this course.
10. Candidates will be sent an e-certificate of completion upon and subject to successfully completing the course.
